Today was the lil boy’s last day of summer class – his first ever schooling that is. Hubby and I went to school together with the lil boy. I talked to the other mommy there who had been my seatmate and companion in waiting in the parent’s waiting area for our kids to finish their class in the afternoon. I asked for her opinion hoping to find another mom’s point of view on whether we should enrol the lil boy in nursery or toddler class this coming school year.

I thought we maybe become stressed and worried trying to decide for our kids and I thought I may be needing that anti wrinkle cream after all as my sister was telling me. I told her if it was deciding for which school to go to for grade school, I would not be finding it hard to decide like this now coz I already know where I want him to go to.

Hubby and I still cannot finally decide where to enrol him maybe until we try out the free class tomorrow in another school and their free trial class next week. The other mom I was talking to said it may not be easy and on her side she also has concerns for her daughter who came from another country and has to be evaluated on whether she can proceed with third grade this coming school year or not. If I decide on my own I already made my decision but I cannot ignore hubby’s opinion too. But we don’t really disagree that much, I just have my choices of school while it seems he prefers the other schools. I pray we get to decide on the right school for the lil boy.

I am excited and anxious at the same time. It will be the lil boy’s first pre-school summer tutorial class today. It’s just for an hour daily no weekends but for today he’ll be doing it for two hours to make up for the other three days worth of class. It’s a one on one class for him. I would have preferred the toddler class for summer but it was already full. We may enrol him in another preschool as an option but he might have an overload already for this summer. Hubby and I will see first how his class goes for the first week. Hope he will love it. More stories next time. Got to prepare something for the lil boy.

The lil boy likes watching SpongeBob so much lately and won’t watch other more educational cartoons on TV so we have to enforce something and hubby got Dora the Explorer and it was what the lil boy watched whole day.

We still have to find Go Diego, Go! which seems more appropriate for the lil boy though Dora is also a good choice for cartoons since it is educational. We hope he won’t tire easily watching Dora until we find the Diego series.

I try to spend more time these days thinking these times won’t be here for long. But since I have not much time to exercise and probably because I am growing more “mature” physically, I can’t be as agile and active as he is. There are some joint pains in my knees and hips sometimes that is calling for that msm cream whose reviews I have come across yesterday as I was searching for something for my mom. This treatment is said to eliminate your joint pain and rebuild your joints. I hope so that they would really work without any of the hassle or complications. Maybe I could make use of this if and when pain strikes again. So that bonding time would be just all fun and no worries for any joint pain whatsoever.

Just spent some QT as in quality time with the little boy watching a cartoon movie called The Wild at Disney Channel and playing with his toy guitar plus with the yellow balloon he got from the newly opened branch of Coco’s South Bistro. He had fun when he sees me trying to let the balloon fly into the air using the native fan. He was laughing so hard I had to stop once in awhile so he won’t have hiccups and he might get too excited that he will have a hard time sleeping in awhile. The sound of my son’s laughter removes all the concerns and worries I have in mind. Thank you Lord for my dear and happy lil boy who is my strength and hope. Now a little more playtime with the boy, oh my he wants more! I still have to work so I can save more for our plans and projects. Good thing he is drinking milk now so i hope he’ll sleep in awhile. Gotta work for a little while now.

The lil boy’s birthday is coming up and we plan to give a simple party for him since he did not have one last year when we opted to have a family vacation instead. Hubby wants to give a party a first and hire but then we decided we may just buy more toys and other stuff for the lil boy with the given budget and just give a little party with his cousins. We went to the nearest mall recently but found not so much of the toys I’d want him to have. I thought of shopping online for learning toys where there are still sale and offers going on.

For the past few nights that hubby is on night shift and it’s only me and the lil boy here, I noticed that my son in his own initiative would say “Good night Ma!” and say “Love you!” as he drinks his milk before going to sleep. He easily sleeps too as it would be just a few minutes that he would lie on one side hugging his Pooh bolster after finishing his milk. It is his cue too that we would go to bed when he sees me putting things into my bag. When he sees me doing that, he would immediately be putting all his toys inside his room and he turns off the light in between the living room and dining room. He knows when it is time for bed. I am grateful he makes things easy for me the past few days. Coz there are nights when it’s just the two of us and he would still be so active late at night in his room.

But it is also a little different when hubby is home at night. The little boy seems to be more active and still stays awake a little longer to quietly watch a movie in the bedroom before finally sleeping.

I love hearing him say “Good night Ma!” especially “Love you!” saying these words on his own. It takes away all the tiredness and concerns if ever.

We found it in our treat box in our room where we keep snacks and chichiriya stuff to munch on when we get hungry. We both had the chocolate srawberry flavor and I don’t kind of like it. I’m not sure if the lil boy really liked it but I saw him happily licking it until I showed him he can just put it in his mouth. What I don’t like about this after is toothache that seems to threaten my busy afternoon.

When the lights have been placed, all he wants is for it to be on all the time even during daytime. I don’t think I should be worried yet with the electric bill right. LOL! But has is since this afternoon been putting anything usually most of his toys into the tree and he’d be happy to see them there that he’ll clap his hands with a big smile on his face. He’ll keep up with this fun until he thinks of something else I guess. I am happy to see him happy as they say Christmas is for the children.

Just wanna share a few thoughts running through my mind earlier. I think it is part of being a mom that we get hurt whether emotionally or even physically by our kids which we care for. We can just release the pain by crying it out and understand that they may not really intend to do that to us. It is probably what they see around when we are not looking. The TV is one influential thing in the house we should watch out for. Being a SAHM and WAHM isn’t easy. It takes as much patience and effort in different ways and levels though at times, such as when I was a mom working in the office.

It might be I could not find a nanny who would fit into my expectations so I have no nanny for almost two years now. It isn’t easy being a WAHM but it can be far more rewarding. For one, there is no office work that demands you to stay in the office away from home and from the lil boy at least 8 hours a day / 5 days in a week. I have more free time now compared then though not as much “me time” still as I would want it to be. I am my own boss and no longer a corporate slave. LOL! I am here for my lil boy more often than I could ever be when I was still working in the office and I think it was part of being a mom to my lil boy to give up a career in the corporate world for a life at home with my boys but at least still earning something.
