“People who spend money on experiences like a meal/concert are happier than those who spend it on material goods like clothes.”
Just read this from one I’m following over at Twitter. I think it is true. Would this count the food trips we usually have with my little boy and hubby? I think so. I am not a shopper or shopaholic because too for the reason that I don’t have the budget for such except for very rare times that I feel like I need a new clothing to wear for an occasion perhaps or add something new to my old wardrobe.
Going to concerts or even watching simple shows are fun and such as is our experience when we go out with my boys to dine at fave restos or try new ones that open in the city. Food tripping makes me happy, relaxed after a stressful time. You may say comfort food is what I seek. I love food and we love to eat just as other people love to shop and shop for what they want and like. If other people often shop for bags, shoes, books, gadgets and other material stuff because that is what they love… I am more into food shopping. It does show I know. If you know what I mean. LOL! But I am working on sticking to a healthier diet for a healthier me for my little boy and hubby as inspiration. Yes as a friend told me, as moms we need to live longer (and happier if I may add) for our kid and our family.

This is a treat for hubby when we went to Starbucks recently. I let him have the choice to choose his fave white chocolate mocha and he wanted it cold. I let him have his way.
As for me I am happy just to be able to pass by there, sit down, have a sip of what hubby is having and have some relaxing time with my boys. Being able to read the local and national papers while we are there is enough for me then we’re good to go. Read more… »

Note to self… though shall not browse the OMF group page at Facebook after dinner or late at night otherwise your tummy will start ti churn and you will get hungry and start to drool over the food photos shared and posted by other bloggers. LOL! Yes I had just browsed through that Facebook page awhile ago supposedly just checking out what’s new and it was flooded with food photos from the recent noche buena.
What did I expect? Hahaha! Hence I am now so hungry and it is just three minutes away just in time for midnight snacks on the dot. Oh my am really hungry. So next time when you are trying to diet after Christmas day, I should remind myself not to open any food website or group page for foodies at FB or elsewhere. Eating and getting hungry at this hour is just to hard to resist. *Wink!*
