The other day I went scouting for an art project that we could do as a great bonding activity over the holidays or maybe right after their Christmas party tomorrow. It would keep the little boy busy at home since they will be on Christmas break for more than two weeks. The teacher of the little boy told us before that he is interested more in arts. So there are times when I am not that busy that I spend time with the two of us bonding on doing art stuff at home. Maybe it is nice to become artsy once in awhile, as my sis would put it.

When I went into the bookstore the other day, aside from the colorful art materials that I wanted to buy, I was looking for this magic glos that creates a crystal clear effect on an art object that I wanted to make which needs to be waterproof. The little boy and I once saw before in an art and crafts store that something which I wanted us to do. I am just not really sure what it is called but I have the idea of what I wanted to make. Anyway, we could always experiment when it comes to making arts and crafts as long as I know that the little boy will be busy during the Christmas vacation and that he will have something to do over the holidays.

It is the last day of summer class as well as soccer class – the little boy’s first and he is enjoying it so much! He has great potential and the interest in soccer the coach said from the first day of his soccer class. We still have not decided if we will enroll him for the second module of the summer class. But we want him to continue with the soccer class for sure.

I wonder how much they will let us pay since the soccer is already part of the whole summer class package. For sure this coming school year the little boy will be part of the soccer class. Last year he was already eager to join but the coach said his age is still too young. The coach said four years old is a good age to start learning soccer. This little boy is inspired by the Azkals and from watching Super Strikas in Disney. Plus hubby is also a soccer fanatic and follower of soccer news all over.

Okay time to send the little boy to his last day of summer class. Have a great summer day everyone!

Hubby has been using the iTouch since and I have long removed this game there to stop the game addiction that I had during those times. You know the type that you are supposed to lay down in bed to sleep late at night and you still keep on playing this! I had to do something then so I removed the game app and that was the end of it.

Hubby is fond of putting games on this even in the Galaxy Tab that I somehow wish he would not do so often since the little boy gets to see the games too. But at least now the little boy is no longer playing games that much. But then as for me I somehow missed playing games for leisure. I am simply too busy the past few months working and making a living.

As they say we can play at times that all work and no play can make you dull and gray!?! LOL!

Family bonding activities are very important. Unfortunately, sitting on a couch and watching television is the regular family activity for a lot of people. Not only does it not promote interaction, but it is also a very unhealthy way of spending time together. Doing activities that will exercise young children’s bodies will help them develop a healthier lifestyle. You would not want your child to become obese or to need liposuction simply because he or she has developed a habit of being a couch potato. Below are some activities that will help keep your family healthy.

•	Play. This does not mean using your children’s video game console. Instead, go out and play sports with your children. Something as simple as kicking a soccer ball around will help you lose a lot of calories.
•	Walk. Walking is a good opportunity to enjoy the neighborhood and to have a conversation with your children. Bring your dog along if you have one. You would rarely get the kind of exclusive time with your children that walking brings.
•	Dance. This is a fun activity that you can do inside the house. Dance like no one is watching and you might be surprised by the dancing moves of your child.

The little boy has been watching the Toy Story all three sequels the other day and yesterday. Now he started asking if he can have that hat similar to what Woody was wearing. I really don’t know where to find that in local stores here but there must be Cowboy Hats for a liitle cowboy like mine out there and luckily I found it in a hat store online just like the one in the photo shown here. Mission accomplished!

Then I find myself liking their three layer fringe ladies boots. It reminds me of the boots that my friend’s sister was wearing in one of her photos shared at FB. Anyway, afer I did some cowboy hat hunting that fits for the little boy’s head, I also found some cute, colorful and light-weight kinder caps. But the little boy only likes this one I found. We have to tell dad tomorrow if we’re gonna buy it or not.

The little boy has been sneaking in sometime again to play some computer games in his dad’s computer. He is now bored with the iPod Touch and I wonder if we buy a playstation 3 if he will also get addicted to playing it. Or it may be the dad who will be. Now these boys will have more game time during the day.

Last month we saw a Sony exhibit at the nearby mall and the motion controller for PS3 caught our attention. There was even a mom there who was really excited to have tried it out. I wanted to try too but I might get to happy that I’ll be asking hubby that we buy a PS3. We still did not have any budget for that at that time.

But if ever, I just wish the little boy would be able to focus more in educational games if there are for the PS3. While I am more interested actually in watching Blu-Ray movies in high definition. That will keep me busy while the boys have their game time.

Since we will miss shooting at the Kadayawan Festival’s Indak Indak sa Kadalanan this year, hubby and I decided to have breakfast bonding time with the little boy at our fave Filipino buffet resto where we used to eat before frequently. The past few months though we decided to stop going there since I wanted to control my diet plus our expenses too! But I say eating there can be more filling and so much choices compared to when we have breakfast before at McDonalds which could cost more actually with just the meal of choice ~ chicken or whatever.

The little boy was happy and we were surprised he was really hungry. He ate four servings of pancake! Plus he drank both of our breakfast juice as they call it by himself mostly. He did not like their fresh mango juice this time. The mango fruit they used was not that ripe yet and so it tasted sour. Had we known we would just have ordered the breakfast juice for him as well and that would have saved us half the price of the mango juice. LOL!

The little boy was game when we took pictures of him as he was eating his pancake. I might not be able to upload the pix just yet. As of this writing I am sleepy and catching up to finish pending tasks since hubby and I had our own Kadayawan bonding date last night from Alladin Bajada to Central Bank for the Mindanao Trade Expo 2010 to NCCC to Gardena Fresca for dinner (our first time in that place) to Brothers Burger in Damosa where we were able to see and hear the concert from the back with a view of the backstage. Thanks to the big screen, we were able to see glimpses of the artists and celebrities who performed last night.

Just as some people go to comedy bars for a dose of laughter, last night was a night of laughter indeed for us old friends and classmates. I cannot remember some of the stories they were telling during the reunion and I am not alone. But nevertheless those stories made us laugh the whole night long in between some quite more serious stuff that we have to put in. But I cannot disagree it was a fun night and I would love to have that kind of night of laughter even not every day but even just once a week gathering of friends and classmates. I don’t know how that would work but I know when it is something fun, they might just find time to meet up even once in awhile for a night of laughter.

The lil boy likes riding his small red motor inside the house right now which he has not used for quite sometime already. I wonder if he would love to pursue riding in an atv one day soon. He truly loves riding and he even used to ride a 4×4 car inside a mall which used to rent out that kind of ride to kids there. It reminds me when I read on an ATV magazine online. We have not gone back there but the lil boy would surely love to ride that again. There is just no special terrain inside there but am not sure I’d feel at peace if there was.

We watched a local travel show before and they featured going on a trip to an island just across the city here and there is a resort there that rents out atv rides to tourists and resort guests. I wanted to visit that place then but am not sure if I am up to riding an ATV. But my bro and hubby would like to try just as excited as my lil boy who used to say to me “Let’s ride!”

I survived without opening my Facebook or any of the games for a day today. That was one of my little sacrifice which I know would not be enough but it is one of the least I can do for today being Good Friday. So I busied myself with house chores and doing my pending tasks instead which is far more productive rather than tempt myself in things I decide to skip doing for today. Hubby wants to open his FB too and play poker and I reminded him to abstain today, wait until past midnight or better play tomorrow. Good thing he is sleeping right now in the sofa. He might play it tomorrow after all.
