I don’t consider myself an insomiac but I tend to sleep late at night most of the time since I want to hopefully finish work as much as possible before they pile up but then I try catching up on lost sleep last week and the previous weeks for the last two to three days. If this loss of sleep builds over time, I was told it can interfere with the hormones that monitor your appetite, changing your mood and increasing your risk of some chronic illnesses. Plus we need enough sleep to look young or not look older faster and needing the best eye cream for wrinkles as skin care treatment or to get rid of wrinkles around your eyes, eliminate dark circles and even reduce puffiness underneath your eyes. People need to get seven to nine hours of sleep every night for good health. I don’t want to consider myself chronically sleep-deprived just yet but I need to discipline myself and sleep earlier than my usual routine as it also not good for my health as we all know we are not getting any younger physically that is!

It has been a routine of sniff, sneeze, sniff not just for me but the little boy as well. Hubby and I are just grateful that the little guy seems to be on his way to recovery. Hubby said we will go back to the pedia this weekend to have the lil boy checked again. So far he seems better than yesterday and the other day and his cough isn’t that hard anymore and I could hardly notice him coughing often.
Dear God please heal the little boy completely as well as hubby and me!

I had my haircut for the longest time yesterday after hubby treated me and the little boy to an early lunch at our fave resto. That salon I went to also offer facial and massage and I was really tempted to try their massage but I just don’t have much time left after the haircut since I have to rush back and help hubby at home as he will be going back to work again in an OT duty shift in a few hours on a Sunday!
I wondered too where they would do the massage since I didn’t find any massage tables at the salon. There must be a room upstairs or at the back but I have never been to those parts before. I was opting for a Swedish massage since it seems to be the massage that I can handle compared to the other options. I am really ticklish that is why even if I want to have a massage, I end up passing up on the opportunity. I remember knowing someone who once had a home service massage. Her hubby got her a portable massage table. Lucky her she can have a relaxing massage right at home. Well I wll just have to try first the one offered at the massage salon then let’s see if I can survive it without laughing till I cannot take it anymore!

The nurses especially the student nurses in our floor were delighted with his charm. They became his instant friends in the hospital. I noticed he liked most the fourth year student nurse Khristine. The first student nurse we met when we were finally transferred to the room assigned to us, a junior suite room that I must say is truly expensive but feels and looks just like a private room except for the kitchen sink. There was no private room available during the time of our little boy’s admission and we are just thankful to my HS classmate Teresita, an ER nurse’s help and we were immediately given a room but quite pricey as I said since the hospital was said to be fully booked at that time and there were a lot of patient admissions.
Going back to the student nurse friend of our little boy, she was very friendly and caring to the little boy. I would notice the little boy looking up to her face when she gets his VS or vital signs. He would say hi or hello when he sees her and the other student nurses with their CI nurse opening the door coming inside to do their rounds and duties. There was another female student nurse though who liked the little boy a lot that she would come running after him and she would pinch his cheek when she gets near him. The little boy really liked running and playing especially with no IV and stand to pull around with him. When we finally went home though they were all so busy near the nurse station, he was not able to bid goodbye to them. I am sure the little boy had fun with his instant friends at the hospital.

Too many needle pricks to go through in less than two days for our three year old little boy. We just got home from the hospital where the little boy spent almost two days or 42 hours. It came to a point when I was wishing the little boy never had to who had to go through a total of eight IV needle insertions because the IV tube would get dislodged. It was too many for him to take that on his 7th, hives appeared on his face while he was crying in pain.
