Pool Party

My friend wanted me to tag along a pool party for the birthday of her friend’s daughter. The birthday celebrant’s mom happens to be a schoolmate of ours way back in college. It is a pool birthday party. As much as I wanted to go since I wanted the little boy to experience a birthday party and a pool party at that before the year ends, hubby’s work schedule will not let us go to it. We could go but only for about a couple of hours and we have to rush back home. I may just have to say no to it but still hoping we can work something out and let us go to that party in a few days time.

I hope the pool in the party venue is way better and cleaner now. I have just come across an information saying that the most important piece of equipment for those who have a pool and needed in keeping our pool clean are your pool pump motors. They need that motor rather than the cleaning boy who manually cleans the pool. I hope they have maintained the place well because the last time we attended a birthday party there more than a year or two years ago maybe, it was not that clean and well maintained then in my opinion. It is a nice place and a good place actually to have a birthday party for kids who would surely enjoy a pool party. I am really hoping we can make it to this coming pool party.

Coming Up So Fast

Christmas and the new year seem to be coming up so fast! I still want to enjoy the holidays and the Christmas break from school of our little boy. With hubby’s special day coming up so soon, I wanted to cherish the coming days with a weekend off making it a long weekend for me and the boys. I am just thankful that hubby has the regular weekends as off from work this busy and merry month of December. I want to enjoy each day of this merry month with my boys and my family. If we can only wish that each month is like the merry month of December but that might just be too much. If I may say it can be financially draining too!

Well all I know now is that Christmas is coming up so fast and I just want to enjoy it as much as we can!

Flowers for Mom

I would have given flowers for my mom on her recent birthday but when I hinted her about my plan, she told me as much as she would really love the idea, she may want something else. I really love the flowers I saw a few days before her birthday when I went online window shopping. I wish I had those Proflowers coupons then or had known about it so that I could have gotten her a bouquet of flowers which I am sure she will be happily surprised to get then.

No matter how much she may want something else, I know mom would love the flowers especially if I had told her it came from our daddy. It would be a fun scene to witness because I don’t know how she would actually react and thank dad for it.

Birthday Coming Up

My dear mommy’s birthday is coming up and I wanted to give her something more personalized this time. I know she would prefer as always cash gift so she can do what she wants with it. She is not really materialistic but knows how to appreciate the gifts we give her. Yet again she prefers cash gifts that is.

As I have said, I plan to give her something like those like a Personal Creations birthday gift this year. I do not have much time in my hands to go around and choose her a gift. It would be totally convenient if I can do the shopping online. I still got about less than a month to get a gift for her. I know she would appreciate and like the personalized mugs that I saw at the online store I was browsing awhile ago. She likes to drink hot tea in any given time of the day when she feels like it. So the personalized mug would be a practical gift at the same time. I know the one she has been using has a little crack now so it is but high time she gets a new one for her birthday coming up in a few weeks time.

Christmas Songs in the Air

If you go strolling in the new mall in town, you would notice Christmas songs in the air has been playing since last week. I think since the month of September stepped in, they had been playing songs heard throughout the whole mall. There were not too many people in the mall last night since it was a weekday. Plus some are still waiting for their pay today.

Last night as I was walking to fetch my son at the Wonderland, I thought that maybe the Christmas bonuses are being waited upon by most employees by now. Yeah too early yet but some companies do give it out early too. But giving it out too early means that it might not even get to reach the Christmas shopping season too.

Right now am bring those songs here at home. Playing Christmas songs early morning to the lil boy’s delight!

Yes Christmas is just around the corner! I’m greeting you an advance blessed and bountiful Christmas!

Italian Herb Garden as Mother’s Day Gift

Mothers like me are more practical these days. We don’t expect much of gifts from our loved ones. But it does not mean too that we cannot think of giving ourselves something we want like for me I am thinking of this Italian herb garden as a new mother gift idea for my own self. Hubby isn’t that type to give gifts so I have come to accept that. Well I have been looking at that herb garden right now and I somehow want this for myself to place at my working table right here at home.

In case you don’t know, it is Mother’s Day already on Sunday! Our simple celebration might be in advance or postponed with hubby at work that day. Anyway, we can always go anywhere what is important for me is that we are together for some special bonding time that day.

Cakes and Gift Baskets

My little boy and I were craving for a cake since last week but we still have not bought one since the one cake we want is just too much for us and they are not selling per slice. Then I found this chocolate mousse love torte and it makes me wish we could buy our fave moist chocolate cake now.

After seeing that cake, my eyes wandered to the other sweet stuff for gourmet gifts and gift baskets delivered to your loved ones on special occasions. Mother’s day after all is just a month away.

What to Buy from the Cash Gift

I gave my boys quite a big cash gift for shopping. Hubby is still thinking what to buy from the cash gift I gave him last Christmas day even though he didn’t have any gift for me I didn’t mind. What I know though is that he is still thinking about getting himself a new cellphone as I saw him browsing through some cell phones in an online store a few weeks ago. I told him already he can buy a new cellphone as long as he promise he will give it the best care ever. There are cell phones that are not that expensive anyway and just have the basic features that he needs in any cellphone. Whatever he buys from the cash gift I gave them, I hope he buys wisely.

Make the Most

We wish to make the most of the coming few days leave that hubby was given from his work at this time of the month which is supposed to be a very busy month in their office. We wanted to travel but it is the peak holiday season and the cost of travel may be too much for the budget. Yet we are not closing our doors even to such an opportunity of one of those hawaii cruises if ever Santa would give that to us.

We might skip the usual stay at the known hotel here that we used to have during hubby’s special day. I’d wanted to travel but we might just save it up for some other time during the lean season of travel when there are promos in air fare and hotel at the same time. But that cruise suggested by a friend is still in mind. Though we might not be able to make it this time around. We will just try to make the most of those free days of hubby from work.

Last year, they were all very busy. Thank goodness his lady boss is back! She prioritizes time for family for her subordinates that is why she gave them the chance to avail of their unused forced leaves ans we will make the most of it together.
