Covered Windows

Last week I think when we both fetched the little boy from school, I told hubby that I just noticed that the classroom on the left side of the school upfront now has covered windows with green blinds. Well I guess it was placed there to either to lessen the sun’s heat that comes in through the windows when it is hot outside or to protect the kids inside from being distracted by what goes on outside during class hours. Those covered windows now are placed there for s purpose.

That then reminded me of the discount window shades that I had long been interested in particularly the bamboo shades that I have long wanted to install in our place’s front window. This morning I was actually thinking of taking down the curtain not only to wash and clean it after being used there for quite sometime already but to transfer it as well to the little boy’s bedroom window.

Then I thought maybe we could just replace the silver insulator that we have placed there not only to lessen the heat of the sun that comes through the glass windows but also to avoid unwanted people (if ever there are) from seeing or peeking through the house when we are not there. Those premium bamboo shades are really nice and would make the living room more cozy and homey look. The bottom line is for me to just have covered windows while at the same time improving the look of our living room this time around. There is a certain kind of rolling shades actually that I am particularly looking for. I hope I find it soon and pray that we got a budget for that.

Vintage

My sister and I had a chance to have a short online chat a few weeks ago and she was quite busy that time doing her own online window shopping for vintage tubs. Yes the idea of her shopping for something vintage excite me at that time that I told her I would be willing to help her find one during my free time.

Indeed I went on my own window shopping a week ago and I found a select range of very high quality vintage clawfoot tubs, pedestal tubs, vintage style tub faucets, exposed showers, clawfoot tub shower enclosures, even with matching sink faucets and accessories. I found more than what she was asking me to help her find. I love shopping online or at least window shopping even for vintage stuff because it a lot easier than when you physically search for them at local stores. Probably too I won’t find what she is looking for – vintage.

The tubs I have seen reminds me of those I have seen in old movies even in the movie Julie and Julia which I have seen for the nth time the other day.

Birthday Coming Up

My dear mommy’s birthday is coming up and I wanted to give her something more personalized this time. I know she would prefer as always cash gift so she can do what she wants with it. She is not really materialistic but knows how to appreciate the gifts we give her. Yet again she prefers cash gifts that is.

As I have said, I plan to give her something like those like a Personal Creations birthday gift this year. I do not have much time in my hands to go around and choose her a gift. It would be totally convenient if I can do the shopping online. I still got about less than a month to get a gift for her. I know she would appreciate and like the personalized mugs that I saw at the online store I was browsing awhile ago. She likes to drink hot tea in any given time of the day when she feels like it. So the personalized mug would be a practical gift at the same time. I know the one she has been using has a little crack now so it is but high time she gets a new one for her birthday coming up in a few weeks time.

Easily Shop for Anything

You can easily shop for anything online these days. I went window shopping online yesterday for a hot and cold shower system after we saw one from Germany at the hardware store in the mall. My sister had an easier time while she was looking for flexible metal hose with full manufacturer warranty which she said was even much easier than she expected.

Now I hope I can easily shop for some affordable yet durable stuff for the home next month. I will try first in the local store and if I don’t find what I am looking for then, it is time to shop online. My other sister wanted me to do an online shopping for her one of these days since I am mostly online most of these days though there are more times in the day now that I force myself to rest or do offline work more for health sake.

I wish there would be blessings this next two months so we can have some extra money to shop online or even in the local stores for the Christmas holiday shopping.

Time for the Little Boy to Have New Shoes

Per hubby’s request, it is time for the little boy to have new shoes. Shoes for casual wear since we got him recently new soccer shoes. I cannot even remember when we last bought him his old shoes that he wears to school and when we go out.

We got to think about doing the shoe shopping today as I saw these canvas shoes, one of which looks like the old shoes of the little boy only with a different design and smaller size of course. The new shoes we want for him need not be expensive. We are saving for a trip so we really have to save. But for the little boy’s sake, we are shelving out money to buy him new shoes. I got new shoes myself yesterday, not expensive, even discounted as I was fortunate that it was on sale, and I like those shoes for being very comfy for walking as we are going to do lots of walking soon.

Shopping for Scrubs

I got a few time off from house chores and work with the little one sleeping for awhile, I think I will be doing some window shopping for some nice and quality nursing scrubs for my dear sister who works as a nurse and lives with her family now so many miles away from us. We miss her so much and the last time we chatted online, she asked me a favor to so her some shopping for scrubs.

My sister this time asked me to look not only for tops but for scrub pants with nice design as well. She did remember the designs I once showed her a few months ago. Actually these days, shopping for nursing scrubs is so easy already because one can easily find nice and quality scrubs now that make you look and feel the way you deserve to.

Window Shopping Mode

There is something about being in a window shopping mode that relaxes me and makes me forget present concerns for awhile.Got to have some time to window shop while the little boy was in his fave playhouse playing with other kids. I get to have a little time to go around and I met an old friend who was looking for gold chains to shop for her husband as her father’s day gift. She wants to give this too as a wedding anniversary gift to as well since they will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary this month of June.

We went around window shopping for me while she bought some stuff for her kids. At the same time we get to be updated with our other friends whom we have not seen for so many years. We went inside a clothes shop too that I wanted to go into but has not done so since this new mall opened. I did not find the shirt that I was looking for. I went on my window shopping mode while my friend and I separated after an hour or so being together. It was nice seeing her again and having some instant shopping time together unexpectedly. It was fun. Actually it is more fun to window shop with a friend and that is what I know now.

Just Remembered

The little boy won’t sleep just yet since he is still somehow hoping he can go to school for his soccer class but the coach has a soccer match today so the class was postponed. So while the little boy made himself busy after going through and playing with his toys, I just remembered I have promised to canvass on this honda generator replacement for my uncle’s mower. I know it may be cheaper if we find one online. I am interested in borrowing this mower and let my nephew do the mowing job at my parent’s home for it will do the job in no time. It is summer anyway and my nephew has nothing to do so it will make my parents happy if the front lawn grass gets mowed and cleaned.

Should I be surprised that my growing nephews preference on clothing has changed? I bet I should not be because one day our own little boy might be changing his own preference to into those urban clothing kind of clothed that boys and young men sometimes would like to wear.

I was even looking into some old photos in college and I guess even way back then the choices of clothes that friends who are male were also changing. I have seen my old classmate who loves to wear hip hop clothes during non school days. The school was kind of strict especially during our wash day but no so during weekends when there are no classes for all.

Well times change and people preferences on clothing change to depending on what stage they are in life.

Cakes and Gift Baskets

My little boy and I were craving for a cake since last week but we still have not bought one since the one cake we want is just too much for us and they are not selling per slice. Then I found this chocolate mousse love torte and it makes me wish we could buy our fave moist chocolate cake now.

After seeing that cake, my eyes wandered to the other sweet stuff for gourmet gifts and gift baskets delivered to your loved ones on special occasions. Mother’s day after all is just a month away.
