Raining Non Stop

I think it has been raining non stop for a few hours already. A few friends have posted at FB that they are getting uncomfortable already a few hours earlier. It’s past midnight now. I am praying along with many other people that this rain won’t cause any flood at all. But three hours ago according to the tweet by @dost_pagasa ” Flooding are now experienced in some parts of Barobo and Brgy Bigaan of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.” And this one “Continuous rains are being observed over Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro.” Four hours ago, this was their tweet, “Some areas in San Francisco Agusan del Sur are already flooded.”

The flood caused by typhoon Sendong and the damaged it caused is still very fresh. I cannot even watch TV because it is honestly too painful to comprehend the loss of lives especially of children (being a mother myself) and family members before Christmas. Merely seeing people who lost their loved ones bring so much pain and tears to my eyes. I cannot imagine how it is to be in their place now. So the least I can offer is to pray for them to be strong in faith and be given hope to live and move on as they cope with their loss not just of properties but of their dear loved ones especially during Christmas.

It is raining in Iligan now. There is an LPA over Mindanao and tail of a cold front that is causing this rain. Dear Lord please protect your people and keep us all safe!

I Feel

I feel like I’m going down with something but I am just trying to fight it. I have been sneezing the whole day. It has been a cold day and not to forget this bed-weather day simply does not help at all. Been fighting drowsiness whole day too. I feel really sleepy but simply cannot afford to. If only I have an extra pair of hands to do my work now so I can get some much needed rest, I will be glad to have them now. I also feel like I have been running and trying to catch my breath since yesterday. But I need to do this and I can do this.

Hot Bath

It is really cold and windy outside. I wish to turn off the aircon in the house but the little guy needs it still as he sleeps right now. I want to take a bath but honestly the cold water from the tap is really cold and am too tired to heat some water in the pot to mix it with the water. We don’t have a water heating system here.

Yeah how I wish we have just like what my sister has in her own bathroom. I wish too we have a hot tub with one of those durable and good quality hot tub covers. A hot bath at this time would truly relax my tired body right now. I feel that a cold shower would just make me feel sick after making me prone to colds. So might as well just sleep on this thought for tonight. If only my sister’s house is next door, I’d be going for a hot bath there right now!

Raining

It started to rain again and the sound of it makes me more sleepy at this early hour in the morning. Will continue with work later in the morning as I feel I just need to give in and rest for now. My back is not that painful but I won’t ignore the signs. I need rest and I do not need to feel so much pain to tell myself it is time to rest already while it has started raining again. Lucky

Lucky for us here where we get to enjoy the sunny weather all year-round while in other countries, at this time around, it is so cold and they don’t get to see mister sun most of the time. My sis in UK said that it has become very cold there. They cannot go out as much as they used to. She said that since they stay home most of the winter season, her skin would become lighter in color. She has a foreign colleague at work who has very fair skin who would opt for indoor tanning lotions. They want to have the perfect tan. My sis was even given a small bottle of that lotion. My sis said we are just lucky to be people who have naturally tan skintone.

Here Comes the Rain

Here comes the rain again! Sounds like a line in a song by the Eurythmics. I wonder if you know that song but my elder sis and I used to sing that song when we see that the rain is coming. Right now the rain clouds above is getting darker and though the drizzle has stopped, it looks like it will rain harder later. I hope it won’t rain tomorrow. I got errands to do and I don’t like going out when it rains hard.

I wish to imagine, if only we got the power to push these rainclouds over to the lake where the hydroelectric plant is located so that the rain will fall and the water levels will rise so that there will be no more rotational blackouts.

Rain

I love the sound of the falling rain outside. It soothes and calms me right now. I feel like going to bed now.

I was disturbed after making a call earlier. He knows better than to break my trust. He knows the consequences when he breaks my trust and I hope that what I was thinking was wrong of all people. You cannot blame me given the inconsistencies I have seen before. Women’s instincts are almost true most of the time and I hope I am just truly wrong or else hubby knows what will happen. He cannot say what I don’t know won’t hurt me for I intend to know the truth and he knows me… I hope. Unless his ever forgetful self will be used as an excuse again. Don’t use that angry approach with me to cover up whatever guilt if ever there may be. Oh well let’s not waste our time on thoughts that will just waste our life. Let’s just try to be positive here.

For now I am just grateful for the rain! I know it will lull me to sleep now. Good night friends!

Hot Summer

Up Early

Hubby was wondering why I was up early today when he was the one who said he will be up early to do some updates on his blog. But it so happens I woke to the sound of the chimes in our neighbor’s front door when someone came out. Then I saw daylight already from the bedroom window. I actually woke up around fifteen minutes earlier than hubby said he will wake up today. I wanted to go out so that I can hang our clothes to dry in the front area outside (before any of the other neighbors will LOL!) where they would be exposed to the sun and I hope it will be windy so that they will dry faster. I am going out before noon for a follow up appointment with my dentist. I hope I won’t stay long there so I can have lunch at home. I realized now that I have done many things already and it is still around eight in the morning in here. We were able to watch the morning news and morning shows which we have not done so for a long, long time. It’s nice to be up early during the Christmas season.

Wet, Cold, Hungry

WET… It is wet outside sincit has been raining whole day well I should say since last night.

COLD… I feel cold and I have already closed my son’s A/C’d room so it won’t be as cold here in the living room. We usually open the door to his room so that it will be also cold here in other parts of the house while keeping the doors and windows closed all the time. But right now since I was not feeling well since yesterday, I feel cold now and have to keep this space I’m occupying right now as warm as possible for me.

HUNGRY… we just had briunch earlier and now am hungry especially after doing my previous post. Thinking about baking and cooking makes me hungry now. Also seeing the Brothers Burger paper bag in the table reminds me of the burger hubby brought home for me late last night. I am munching on crackers right now while I finish some online work then hope I can take a short nap before the lil boy wakes up from his afternoon nap.
