CT was already sleeping before 6PM since he had not slept the whole day. I was in the CR cleaning when I suddenly heard him crying out loud in his room, calling out for me. It must have been awhile good thing I opened the door and that was when I heard him. He got awakened by the band in the street playing Christmas carols. When I reached the door to his room I was just in time when he opened it too. Yes our CT can open and lock doors already. Anyway, I carried him to calm him down and I immediately asked him what’s wrong and I explained to him that the noise he heard outside was a band playing Christmas carols and asking for “bayad”. Bayad (pay) is CT’s term for money. He smiled upon hearing this and I wiped his tears and we lay down in his bed. We spent the next few minutes listening to the band outside and I tried to make it fun and enjoyable for CT so he won’t get scared again next time he hears a band playing outside. We enjoyed bonding in his almost dark room except for the light illuminated by the unique light we bought in the sidewalk pathway between McDonald’s Bajada and VP a few nights ago. CT calls it “Chri-mas tree” as what he calls all trees with lights that he sees around even in the church where we religiously attended all three of us the Misa de Gallo since day 1 starting December 16. So when the sound of the band started to fade as they played farther from the apartment, CT would say “Mana” meaning “humana” (finished). Then a few minutes after that he searched for his milk and drank it until he fell back to sleep. I realized this kind of bonding in dim light is important coz it makes him sleep better and he would wake up in a better state too. He would be smiling when he wakes up before 4AM. CT enjoys seeing people early at the church for the Misa de Gallo and he would be awake the whole time. Hubby tends to drift to sleep and I understand since he is working and goes home late and tired then he has to wake up early since Tuesday. He does not have much time to bond with CT except in mid morning till he has to leave for work in the afternoon. Bonding with CT is important so if you have a child take all the time you can to spend bonding time with them.
