Surviving the Big C

I was having a chat with hubby awhile ago as the lil boy was still sleeping and we talked about something that made me remember one of my former officemate whose father was diagnosed with lung cancer. The last time we met was in the hospital where we had the lil boy for checkup and she was there to accompany her father to the doctor whose clinic was in the same floor as that of our lil boy’s doctor. That was the time that she first learned about her father’s illness. She was trying to be strong then not showing her dad she was already crying because at that time we talked, her father did not know yet the results of the xray and tests. They were still on their way to the doctor’s clinic. I wish her dad is doing well at this time and surviving the Big C.

I have read some Health Facts about lung cancer before and I remember how we need to be informed about the diseases that affects our loved ones. There are health and medical facts and information as well as health tips that I browsed through there before. Before I did read about the options for surgical intervention for varicose veins which is a concern of my dear mother. I did tell her about those options for non-surgical treatment of varicose veins. She said she will think about it and is more into the non surgical options. Thinking again of my former offcice mate’s dad, I constantly pray we would never have to come face ot face with the Big C in our family.
