… when it comes to choosing to go for a Caesarean Section or C-section or normal delivery:
- studies show that the C-section delived babies’ immune system do not respond as quickly or effectively as those babies who have been born thru normal delivery. The former become more prone to allergies and infection as the studies show. The reason behind this is that they do not pass thru the normal birthing process which promotes their immune system to be exposed to the mother’s own good bacteria.
- C-section born babies go through a delay of up to six months in getting good bacteria that stimulates their immune system early on and trains it to be strong.
- But C-section babies still has hope if they are breast fed. Colostrum, the first secretion from their mother’s breast is rich with anti-bodies. Breast milk is also rich in probiotics or good bacteria. Breastfeeding gives your baby the best protection in order to boost resistance against allergies and infections.
