First Friday

It is the first Friday of the month and as a devotion which we have made, hubby, me and CT went to hear the afternoon mass in the nearby church. Before that we were able to sleep for more than two hours. I was surprised CT slept for an hour and a half or so this afternoon which is not usual for him. The thought that strike me when I doze off to sleep and when I opened my eyes, CT was sleeping beside me already. Oh my I said to myself because if CT has an afternoon nap he won’t sleep around 6PM which has been his usual sleeping time at night since we moved to the apartment. But when he got sick last week, he slept later than that.
Anyway, I woke hubby around quarter to five so he can take a bath and we can go to church. While hubby was in the bath room. I reminded him to follow-up Manong Jun who does most of the repairs here in the apartment to fix the faucet in the bathroom sink. It has been leaking and I told him we might need to check later those Delta faucets and there was one particular faucet that I would like to be used for the replacement of that leaking faucet. The water keeps on dripping though we rarely use the bathroom sink since we got here. Hubby promised to check on that later.
So we went out of the apartment around 5:25PM and we saw our neighbor Mia who was with her older sister and they are also on their way to the church to hear the First Friday Mass. But they did not wait for us and they went ahead. With Ct walking with us we have to slow down in order for him to catch up. When we got to the church, the mass has not yet started. So that means either we are early or the priest is late. Anyway, it was Fr. Zaldy again who celebrated the mass. Kind of relieving coz I know the mass won’t be long and would end early. Indeed the mass was not that long though his homily was a little bit longer than the ordinary days. He exited at the back of the altar after exposing the Holy Sacrament so CT was not able to bless his hand. We have made CT familiar with the practice as almost all kids do at the end of the mass. As usual CT raised both his hands again during the Amen song. The Lord’s Prayer was sang in English so he did not raise his hands. Was it sang in the local dialect, he would raise both his hands with arms stretched out and start swinging while singing his own version of the song.
Anyway, after the mass we did not stay long. We went for awhile to GMall to check out their barong for hubby and an aqua marine dress for me. We saw a barong for hubby that is not more than P1K. As for me, I saw an aqua marine dress but it is more stylish than I would want it to be. and it costs P1.3K. Quite too expensive for a dress that I am not sure I will ever wear again in the near future so I have to find another one I guess. We might try to rent a gown but if the price difference is minimal, I might as well buy a dress. I may be able to sell it after if ever I do not want to wear it anymore.
