I met the daughter of the one of our old family friend and old neighbor last month and then again this afternoon in the mall. I was surprised how grown up she is now. It makes me think I am really old coz most of my memories of her was of a young girl who would accompany her parents when they would come to visit us years ago in my parents home.
She is supposed to be in first year college but decided to stop after they had a family problem with their finances. But she said that she will work this year in order for them to save for her college education and she will be pursuing college hopefully next year. I told her if she would opt for a vocational degree there are online degree offered these days and she can do research college degrees on whatever particular course or degree she may be interested in. I encouraged her to pursue it and work hard. I knew some people who work hard to finish and pursue their college education and I am always truly impressed with the determination and perseverance of these people.
