To Travel or Not

Hubby and I are quite undecided whether we will travel or not next week. Our financial budget is one major factor as we made quite a huge amount of money out of our savings last month. The budget for the said travel was eaten up even much more by the security deposit we paid for the apartment unit where we transferred for almost a month now. We are still trying to figure out how we can stretch the budget as we just paid the second month rent yesterday. So that is worth almost four months rent out of our savings. Plus there are bills we paid and yet to pay as well as the mortgage for the house and lot which we loaned from Pag-IBIG.

Another thing we consider is the travel as we have to a plane trip then a boat ride. Based on our last travel there. I said to myself I would not travel there again without an assistant or help or nanny to help us with CT. I hardly enjoyed the trip as there have been much concern at hand. Last time then we had so many things which we brought and it was hard to travel transferring our bags and stuff here then there. If only there is one direct plane flight to the place we will be going then it would be easier and much more convenient for us.

We are also still sick. So I as much as possible I do not want CT to be sick again just when he is recovering still. I want him to rest and with the weather these days, it could rain then be so hot again. He just finished his antibiotics and we will be bringing him back to the doctor soon.

If only we can travel as fast as we can there and travel as light as we can. Then that would be more convenient. That reminds me we only have one luggage with trolley. But I am planning to buy this laundry hamper which is light weight and water-resistant that I have been wanting to buy for quite sometime. I can use it for many thing during the travel and after. I can also have more space in case we have extra money left from that trip for “pasalubong”. The pasalubong I am only wanting for in this trip if ever we make it are some stuff for CT and a Starbucks mug Cebu City edition if there still some left. My dear CT broke that same mug I bought the last time we went there. It was part of my collection of mugs where ever and whenever we get to travel and there is a Starbucks store in the place.

But the bottom point at times is despite the concerns and expenses involved on our part, this event for which this travel is supposed to be for happens only once in a life time. Making this trip would mean a lot to the people concerned and for us too. So why not make the travel if it would make them happy right? But if not the let me know and we would make the necessary arrangements now and save the money for our rent and for CT’s needs.
