My dad came to our apartment to visit us since he found out that I have been sick. He actually called last night and like a real doctor instead of an engineer, he “prescribed” medicines for me to take. Well they are the usual medicines I’ve taken before. But he actually came here this morning and brought me some meds for my cough. He even gave instructions over and over again which somehow irked me. I’m sorry but we have been sick and I am really tired already the past few days that I told dad that he can say it just once. I really appreciate dad’s concern for my health and I appreciate most the time he gave to go here and bring me meds. Thank you dad! Actually his presence and concern was more than enough to lift me up except his persistence and repeating things over especially when he is overly concerned.
Looking back in my growing years, when I get sick it was actually my mom and dad’s healing touch that would would make feel better faster when I am sick. Not to mention the threats and/or bribes that I won’t be able to eat ice cream, and/or they will buy me ice cream and anything I love to eat as long as I get well soon. It did work I guess. And just yesterday when I was sick in bed and hubby was going to the nearby mall to buy milk for CT and other stuff, after he gets his medical certificate from the nearby hospital, I asked hubby to buy me egg pie from Goldilocks and I was kinda looking forward to that and somehow I feel a little better. What do you expect from a foodie who has a weakness for sweets, lol!
Well I just hope my dad did not feel bad with what I said though I feel I owe him a call and apologize. He left the apartment like how used to but I just have to make sure he did not feel bad. He said he won’t stay long since he still has to pay the phone bill at home and look for some led light bulbs which I asked him to before which he forgot. Well I have to call later tonight after I finish the unending house chores.
