Thoughts & Beyond

It is our anniversary today!!! I am happy as this day was a good start and we started early. Life may not have been perfect as there are ups and downs as any marriage would encounter. Well I wanted this day to be a happy day so I have to set aside what’s not hopefully not just for this day but for the rest of our married life. Read this daddy okay!

We started filling our selves with blessings from the Lord and what better way to start than have a good and filling breakfast (our first time actually) at Probinsya, one of the restaurants in the Victoria Plaza Compound here in Davao City. They serve buffet breakfast for only P125/person from 7AM to 10 AM. We had CT with us and there is no charge for the baby. We actually called them before we went there to make sure.

My parents-in-law were with us this morning. It has been quite a long while since they saw us. We texted hubby’s mother to greet her early and we invited her to a breakfast treat. We are on a tight budget yet early this morning as we have bills to settle. That is the reality of life now as we have our new life on our own. CT treated his lola because our anniversary also happens to be her birthday. She is now 57 years old! Yes when hubby and I planned to get married before we would have chosen the September 8 date as it is the Blessed Virgin Mary’s birthday which has always been significant to me. But that date was already unavailable for us that time we got married and for some of our invited guests so we ended up getting married on the birthday of my hubby’s mother which is today.

We went to Probinsya around 7:30AM and it is just a few minutes ride from the apartment where we live now. They were not yet there when we arrived so we took sometime to take photos outside and inside. Then we went inside and had breakfast. My hubby’s parents arrived a little later and pictures, pictures, and pictures. I will post them later as I have not transferred them yet as of this writing. We had a good breakfast and they enjoyed CT’s company who was game enough and his happy self – letting them hear the words he can now say like banana, apple, mama, papa, lola, lolo, ate, kuya, appear, bless, kiss, etc. Plus the actions that he can do. He ate the pancake they had in their buffet and he tasted a little of their sweet banana with sago. The food was okay! “Sulit” or worth it for the P125 that we pay so for four of us at P500 or about US$11 for four people. After breakfast, hubby’s parents went downtown to look at the gown for MIL. We separated from them as we have to get some moolah for our allowance and other expenses plus the bill we have settled and have to settle. We dropped by McDo thinking we still wanted to eat choco sundae hot fudge but decided not to and we went home. CT slept as well as hubby when they got home sleepy and tired from an early morning out.

Hubby and I actually started our celebration last night as he treated me to take out dinner (late dinner actually around past 9PM) where we called Boyd’s to order pizza, burger and pasta. They have no delivery so hubby has to pick it up from there. Boyd’s is only a few minuted ride from the apartment too. We were so full last night and we even had left over. So when I suggested that we have breakfast out this morning, hubby was surprised coz we still have to finish the left over last night. This is only for today. Hahaha as we need to diet in the next few days. It has been a happy day for a start of a new year for us. I will continue to pray that he will learn to change for the better and I will be able to continue to support him, love and care for my family. God bless us now and for the coming years in our life together with our precious angel CT.
