Since we are starting a new year in our married life today. It won’t be easy and quick to change what we need to change, right hubby? But I made it a point that today we had time for God. We originally planned to hear mass in the morning then postponed it to noon mass but we forgot about the time and we had no choice but to hear the late afternoon mass in the nearby parish.
I am happy to realize that of all the requests that I have asked from hubby since, he has always been so supportive when I would want to hear mass. Today though he also forgot we planned to attend the noon mass at the Sacred Heart Parish. We heard the 5:30PM mass but I think it started earlier coz when we arrived at 5:30PM, it was already the Gospel reading. Upon hearing the priest’s voice while we were hurriedly going up the stairs, hubby recognized who the priest was and we thoght quietly that yes this is the priest where the mass is shorter especially during weekdays. But Father Z is a good priest. It is just that his mass usually ends earlier than the other priests. There is nothing wrong I think with that but people just notice and have observed that. I won’t say anything further about that.
On the other hand, I am happy that CT likes to spend time in the church. In fact he has gotten accustomed to some songs and would seem to sing with us though you still cannot comprehend his singing but you see the effort and when the priest sings the Amen part, he would stretch out both hands to his side ad start singing while swaying. It would amuse us and those who would see him. I hope CT would grow to be a good Catholic and Christian. So making time for God is one little way we do to help CT get closer to God even at such a young age.
