1. What present did you gave to your Mom last Sunday for the Mother’s Day?
>> My mom isn’t really after material things as what she has been telling us since we were young. So My son CT and I hugged and kissed her as we greeted her first thing in the morning of Mother’s Day last Sunday. We bought food too for lunch and basically that was it.
2. If you’re a Mom what did you receive? If you’re a Dad what did you gave to your Wife/partner?
>> Hubby treated me to dinner at Lachi’s the evening before Mother’s Day and he treated me with coffee at Kangaroo Coffee Co which had its grand opening last May 10, Saturday. So basically, we celebrated it in advance.
3. Where did you go to celebrate the special day?
>> Just at home with hubby and CT, my two most important persons in my life now.
4. Did you had a fabulous time? Please Share.
>> I was very happy being with my two boys that day. We just ate at home.
5. Share a special moment together with your Mom that you treasure most! Either you were a kid or now that you have a family already!
>> What I treasure most now that I have a family of my own with my own mom are the moments that she takes care and looks after my baby CT when I am busy at home. My mom loves CT so much and I can see that she enjoys being with CT and their bonding moments of hugging, kissing and giggling are things that I would treasure the most coming from my mom. As with me and my mom, I guess I would not forget that moment or time when we were in the hotel getting ready for my wedding. She came up and we had our photo taken together. We rarely have photos with me and my mom coz my mom does not want the idea actually well it’s like she is camera shy or something. So having or getting a photo of her at any occasion is to be treasured actually.
6. Do you have a tradition on Mother’s Day in your family? If yes, What?
>> No we just usually have a get together at home.
7. What do you think you got from your Mom’s look?
>> I think I look more like my daddy. But I have my mom’s complexion especially when she was younger.
8. If you could give ANYTHING to your Mom in the world what would it be?
>> Her birth certificate would be a good gift and a long trip to Bohol during their fiesta in January would be a nice one too. But I think one of the best would be to get her a passport then have her travel to Vatican, Rome. I think it would be a fulfillment for her since she has been active in our parish for a long time and had friends who had a holy trip there so the experience would be unforgettable and very significant for her.
9. What sayings, or any quotable quotes that your Mom always instill in you and your other siblings mind while growing up?
>> Live within your means.
>> The golden rule: Do not do unto others what you don’t want other to do unto you.
She would always tell us these things over and over. Mom is a simple person and not materialistic (which is nice hehehe for she does not wants material gifts hehehe so that means we get to save).
10. What is a Mother to you?
>> A mother would always put her family and especially her children’s best interests over and above her own. She will always love her family no matter what!
Happy Mother’s Day and hope we all become good mothers to our own children!
