We were at SM Mall Davao last night and when we passed by this ice cream stall, I told hubby that we buy this Allegro Durian ice cream that we have tried before. The creamy cone costs P16 while the cup costs P12.50. I opted for the cone instead of the cup. I dunno why H bought us ice cream when in fact we both have colds.
We let CT taste the durian ice cream and his face initially reacted to the coldness but after 5 seconds he smiled and swayed from side to side which means that he liked the taste. We let him have three very tiny serving just at the tip of the scoop to at least stop him from trying to grab our ice cream.
Durian is a native fruit for which Davao City, Philippines is famous for. It is called the “King of Fruits“. It has a unique smell and taste as well as a formidable thorn-covered husk. You should try it especially the Durian Coffee too when you’re in Davao!

I don’t think I’ve ever had that type ice cream because I don’t think we have that fruit where I live. I’d like to try it some time.

I have tried the fruit…doesn’t taste bad but it really smells bad. I’m curious about the ice cream. How do you get it?
